 Daredevil

Daredevil is a Netflix original series loosely tied into the wildly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. I say loosely due to not particularly fitting into the family friendly tone of the MCU.
It followers the story of Matt Murdock a man who was blinded in an heroic  accident in his childhood which gifted him with extremely heightened senses on an almost superhuman level. His aim is to wipe the streets of Hell Kitchen free of crime. It runs for three season and was sadly cut short due to a falling out with Disney and Netflix.
The villain of season 1 and 3 is Wilson Fisk or otherwise known as the Kingpin of crime or just Kingpin for short. Not only is he a great antagonist to Matt he is also in my opinion one of the greatest villains along with one of the greatest performances in the history of Film and TV.
Every time the man looks into the mirror he is shown the reflection of him as a child , soaked in the blood of his abusive father. This is because Wilson Fisk never truly grew up , he is therefore a 6 foot 4 man child who is still the freighted little boy who murdered his own father in an effort to save his mother and get revenge for the poor and abusive upbringing. This is evident from his almost child like tantrums and outbursts of rage and his choice to order his favorite meal as a child at any guven moment. This is why Vincent's performance is so great he is essentially playing and transforming himself into a six foot tall 200 pound boy.
Wilson Fisk himself is intriguing yet also terrifying, just like childhood itself. This is why he is so compelling because is some sick twisted way the audience can remember being like him, not the murderous and crime lord side of Fisk , but everyone can at some point remember being a scared angry and lonely child who strived to change everything around them. Looking at Wilson Fisk is somehow , someway like looking through a mirror into a twisted past , almost like a nightmarish version of yourself , who never changed , who never grew up , who never gave up their silly childish emotions and dreams. Just like how when Fisk looks into the mirror he sees his true form, a scarred child.
